Product Description

“So, where are you going to college?"

Too often, your student is asked that question. But how do they know how to build a college list that makes sense? That’s where unCommon Apps can help. Working with your teen, we can get a sense of their profile and objectives for college. By the end of the hour, you will have a great working list that will serve to launch the college process, including where to go for live and virtual tours and exciting programs that will make your investment make sense.

Working with unCommon Apps ensures that teens have the skills and perspective necessary to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. We create products and curriculum geared toward enhancing academic mastery and make sure teenagers are clearly directed in the process of finding the right school, college, and career. We’re there to help them research, apply, and interview.

We respect and relate to the student. unCommon Apps’ college counseling services evolved from classroom and one-on-one experiences with teenagers. Given the magnitude of investment required, as well as the degree of uncertainty and anxiety often associated with the process, we developed a reputation for respecting the needs of each student and family.

We provide a full spectrum of services. We have worked with numerous families to create a college list, plan college road trips, and assess fit, understanding the students’ needs, interests, and personality. We coach the student through the process, paying particular attention to standardized test selection, essay development, and early application decisions.
